Chris is such a wonderful teacher! he’s always patient, kind, and respectful, making every lesson feel relaxed and enjoyable. Great, teaching and overall support. I passed my FIDE exam under an intensive programme in only 6 weeks, and I would highly recommend it.

I joined from pre A1 to A2 pass in 6 weeks, and I have been continuously impressed by the support and encouragement provided by my teacher Chris. He is incredibly supportive and always encouraging but also exceptionally accommodating my timing of lessons, He consistently goes above and beyond to meet my needs, understand my challenges, provide solutions to ensure that i understand the topic, and conversations until i am able to repeat, He pays close attention to my learning progress, provides insightful guidance, and always makes time for meaningful, heart-to-heart conversations.

I highly recommend this course. It has been particularly helpful in improving my listening and comprehension skills (In French). In other courses I have found this area to be neglected; although the listening component is essential for FIDE as well as conversation in daily life. This is not to say that there is not a focus on speaking, (This is also central to the course.) It is simply that both are addressed equally. The approach is a little novel and fun and keeps the lesson interesting. I only have positive words for my tutor, Chris. He is very knowledgeable in linguistics, always able to answer any questions I have. He has been flexible in adapting the course to my learning needs and importantly- he is very affable - welcoming my young son to the lesson.

Chris offers a personalised approach that goes beyond being simply attentive and professional. His practical lessons were perfectly tailored to the FIDE exam I needed to pass, and the course material was clear and accessible online for extra practice. His honest guidance and valuable tips helped me pass the test with a great score. Highly recommended!

Chris was brilliant at tailoring my class schedule to my needs and timeline for taking the FIDE test. It was a very personalised service and he definitely went above and beyond with lessons to cover what was necessary. The lessons were challenging and fun making them very enjoyable. The location is also great, close to the station and the classrooms we're a lovely learning environment with a view of the lake. I can't recommend them more.

I began taking French classes with Chris in preparation for my FIDE test this past fall. He was very responsive from the beginning and easy to communicate with. We met and he assessed my level, made a plan (I was quite short on time to prepare for the test) and I passed the test! I had no formal French language training prior. My husband and I are continuing classes together so we can try and become more proficient. Chris is such a nice person and incredibly easy to work with/learn from. The location is great. I cannot recommend highly enough!

I had a great experience with this French course! The teacher is incredibly supportive, always willing to answer questions and adapt the lessons to suit my specific needs. The focus on conversation made each class highly interactive, which kept me motivated and helped me improve quickly. The sessions were so enjoyable that time flew by.
