Hertz Location De Voitures - Geneva Airport - French Side

We used Hertz car rental for our skiing holiday in France. Absolutely brilliant staff, explained everything, upgraded our car for free seeing our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 tall teenagers) plus luggage. There is a bus just outside the terminal taking to the rental car park. car park very tight but staff member reversed the car without the problem when asked. On return however we experienced few issues as we arrived around 2 am there was no stuff on the car park. We put key in the locker as instructed but struggled to find any information about the bus shuttle, we waited around 45 minutes and nothing arrived. We had enough time to take slow walk with our luggage so that was not problem but if anyone in rush better find this info before travelling. I suppose its rather airport issue then car rental company' but I would advise to gather this info what in case you might be in hurry or with small kids in the middle of the night.

We had rented a Hertz car from Nice for a holiday that ended in the French Alps and booked to return the car at Geneva Airport, French side. Signposting to the dropoff was poor and, when we arrived at 8am when the office opened, the 6 or so Hertz bays were full with no staff in attendance. I got out of the car to read a notice which said if nobody was there to just park the car and drop the keys at the desk in the office. But the few Hertz bays were already full. The dropoff is shared with all the other car rental companies who told me strongly to move my car away as I was blocking their bays, but I had no idea where to take it. There was a phone on the wall above the Hertz dropoff desk, but it doesn't connect to the terminal desk. No phone number on the desk to use my mobile to them and the one listed online didn't connect. In the end, my wife ran upstairs to the Hertz desk who said I should park their car in the public car park above and hand the ticket to the desk with the keys which I duly did. This was appalling customer service as my wife and I had a plane to catch and lost precious time trying to sort what to do at the dropoff. Avoid Hertz at French side Geneva Airport and save yourself the frustration and anxiety that they caused me.

Roadside existence is non existent. We were left stranded in France, hours away from the airport with no vehicle and told to find your own way and we will reimburse you. Now I can't get a response to multiple emails and I've been charged £800 for a flat tyre. Avoid at all costs.

Service au top. La récupération des clés est très rapide. Voiture propre et plus grande que celle réservée. J’ai même reçu un plan détaillé pour faciliter le retour à l’agence. Je recommande

Fantastic tourist Hertz rental pick up and return For the initiated tourist, getting to the Hertz desk on the French side is not difficult, yet be patience, as it's not intuitive. Yet once at the Hertz it was smooth sailing after that!! Great experience and recommend highly.

J’avais réservé une Peugeot 3008 à 09.00 samedi 29 avril et ai reçu un message de Herz deux jours avant disant que la voiture était dispo depuis 00.00 HR et que j’agence ouvrait à 08.00. Je suis venu à 08.00 mais le bureau n’a ouvert qu’à 09.00 comme indiqué sur place. Une Ford focus bleu électrique m’a été donnée et non la Peugeot. A mon retour le dimanche soir j’ai laissé la voiture et ai déposé les clefs à l’agence fermée mais je n’ai pas pu reprendre le train pour Genève. Le passage vers le côté Suisse n’est possible qu’avec une carte d’embarquement ce qui n’était indiqué nulle part chez Herz en réservant ou en prenant le véhicule. Donc obligation de sortir avec un taxi pour aller au côté Suisse de l’aéroport. Cela prend du temps et de l’argent bêtement. Ce lieu de location n’a d’intérêt que pour une arrivée et un départ en avion. Mais ce n’est indiqué nulle part. Une belle embrouille!
